The vehicle developed on wheels for the American Army HMMWV, an acronym that stands for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, and better known as “Humvee”, is the technological evolution of the US “know-how” in the construction of extremely flexible vehicles in every soil condition of which “Willys” is still an icon today. The “Humvee” entered production during the 80s and is characterized by its large size and operational flexibility thanks to the all-wheel drive and the robust structure able to withstand the difficult environmental and use conditions. Several versions were made for troop transport, military logistics, advanced reconnaissance and target acquisition. The M966 Tow Carrier version was equipped with a Tow missile system mounted on the roof of the vehicle in order to increase the offensive potential of the Humvee against armored and armored vehicles.
